A man from Shastri Nagar, India married a woman from Panki on April 28, and acquired a great deal of shock thereafter. After the wedding ceremony and rites were conducted and completed, they left for their matrimonial house, but to the man’s dismay, his wife was uncomfortable consummating the marriage, she told him she had health issues, and so he held back himself.
However, this ‘health issue’ persisted after some time, and the man began to suspect that something was amiss. He decided to take his wife to see a gynaecologist for a check-up. The gynaecologist then revealed that the woman he married is a trans woman.
Appalled and angry at being kept in the dark on the true nature of the woman he married, he filed a case against his in-laws for deceptively luring him into marrying their transgender daughter. He lodged an FIR, along with medical reports of his wife on June 20th. The FIR was filed under Section 420 (cheating) of IPC against the bride, her parents and the mediator.
The police inspector, Kunj Bihari Mishra appears to be particularly interested in this case, he said, “investigations are underway, and actions will be based on the investigations.”
