Choosing Your Wedding Flowers

August 16, 2017 by Maryam Leave a Comment

Your day will go incomplete without the beautiful wedding flowers. Just like every bride wants a memorable wedding, she also wants lovely flowers that will reflect her taste.
The flowers are beautiful and lovely wedding traditions. They create theme to the wedding and make it remarkable.
As exciting as choosing your flowers maybe, it can be a complex decision choosing the right flowers.

The following tips will guide you on how to choose your wedding flowers.

1. Set a Budget
This is the most important thing to consider in choosing your wedding flowers.
It’s ideal to know how much you’ll be spending on your flowers so that you can create a good plan. Have a discussion with your florist, about your budget and how to choose the right flowers that fit your budget.

2. Choose a Wedding Florist
Choose the right florist that will assist in choosing the perfect wedding flowers that will complement with your wedding theme, season and budget.
They are professionals and skilled. They’ll assist you in choosing the right flowers.

3. Consider The Colour of The Wedding Flowers
Consider choosing a colour that complements your gown, the wedding theme and the outfit of the bridal party.

4. Consider The Season
Discuss with your florist and find out the flowers in season around your wedding date.
Know that going for out-of-season flowers translates to spending higher than you’ve envisaged.
You can go for flowers that are in season and available all year round.

Also consider the season that you’re going to get married when choosing your wedding flower. If you’re planning on getting married during summer, you should choose flowers that will last long.

5. Start With The Bridal Bouquet
This should not be skipped because it is the most important floral arrangement.
Traditionally, the bride’s colour is meant to be white. As of these days, different colours are being used.
When choosing the flowers for your bouquet, consider your dress style and your wedding theme.

6. The Bridesmaids’ Bouquets
The bridesmaids’ bouquets can be a little different from that of the bride, but should maintain the same colour theme.

7. Some Wedding Flowers Have Look-Alikes
If your wedding is set in a period when your favourite flower may be out of season, you can go for substitutes that are look-alikes, with the same style.

8. The Bridegroom and Groomsmen
The display of their flowers is not as apparent as the bride and bridal party. When they wear a boutonniere or buttonhole, provide a single flower similar with that of the bridal bouquet.
The buttonhole of the groom should be slightly different from that of the groomsmen.
