Planning Your Bachelorette Party

August 4, 2017 by Victoria Derulo

Who says planning a bachelorette party is simple? It’s as stressful as planning a wedding.

If you’re given the task of planning the bachelorette party as a bridesmaid or maid of honour, take note of some useful tips to creating a fabulous party that the bride will appreciate.

1. Talk To The Bride
You might be the sole planner but the party is all hers. Her decision and approve is hereby needed to plan a party that she will absolutely love and cherish.

Ask her of her expectations and if there is any guidelines or restrictions that will needed in planning the party.
Listen to the bride and don’t ignore what she doesn’t want for her party.

2. Set a Budget
A budget must be set to envisage what will be actually spent in having the bachelorette party.

3. Create a Timeline
Creating a timeline will keep you organized and ensure that everything that needs to be done are executed before the party.
Your calendar should be a place where the checklist will be pasted with the various tasks.

4. Set The Date
The bachelorette party can be held few months to the wedding or one to two weeks before. Set an appropriate date depending on the schedule of the bridesmaids.

5. Ask People to Pay
It is customary to pay for the bachelorette party but you don’t have to pay all by yourself. You can inform the bridesmaids and other invitees of what they have to pay to contribute to having a fabulous party.

6. Have a Backup Plan
Sometimes, our plans do not happen the way we’ve envisaged. Since you’ll be dealing with people and travel plans, make sure you have a backup plan in case it rains or the flight is delayed.

7. Someone Else Could Assist You in Planning the Bachelorette Party
If you think that you’re not very experienced in planning the party or your job and personal life might clash with the planning process, then you can hire a planning service to assist you. They can set your itinerary and book your travel. This will make you focus on your personal work while they assist in the planning activities.

8. Be Positive!
You might feel a little bit anxious because you want the party to go as you have planned. You want the bride to feel satisfied and happy and the bridesmaids to have fun at the bachelorette party.

Don’t expect too much of the day and do not feel anxious if things doesn’t go as you have planned. Always have a positive approach towards planning the party and know that things will go well!
