Planning Your Honeymoon With Your New Spouse

July 6, 2017 by Victoria Derulo

After your wedding ceremony, the next in line is planning how to explore your dream destination, going for your honeymoon with your new spouse.

Your honeymoon is a time to stay away from everyone and share that special moment with your spouse and lifetime partner. Your honeymoon has to be one that brings lovely memories to you years to come.

Careful steps must be taken in planning your honeymoon.

1. Set A Budget
Discuss your honeymoon plans with your new spouse, planning what can fit into your budget.
Determine how much to spend for your honeymoon and include the costs as part of your total budget costs.

2. Make bookings for travelling at a time that is less expensive. Example, the week between Christmas and New Year tends to be very expensive.

3. Discuss About Your Destination
Where do you plan on having a memorable honeymoon? Beach? Consider the weather and time of the year.

4. Choose A Travel Agent
A travel specialist can help you with your honeymoon plans. They have a good knowledge of the travel activities and can save you a whole deal of money and in avoiding mistakes.

5. Be Wary of Time
If you have limited time to spend for your honeymoon, don’t plan on travelling to different places all at once or you and your spouse will return from your honeymoon pretty exhausted.

6. Your Travel Reservations Should Match Your Legal Documents
Do not use your married name to book your honeymoon because it might not tally with your legal documents.

7. Be Open To New Experiences
Travelling for your honeymoon is a way of exploring other places of the world and having a wonderful adventure. Be open to new experiences; new lifestyle, weather and food.

6. Buy/ book your plane tickets.

7. Book Your Hotel
Research hotels and check the availability of rooms. Book and reserve a room at your desired destination.

Mention it is your honeymoon as some hotels offer special amenities for honeymooners such as free champagne.

8. Save Some Money
Save a bit of your money by planning for your hotel reservations, car rentals and Airfare in advance.

9.  Cool Outfits
You don’t have to be obsessed over what to take along with you to put on. Choose smart and comfortable outfits that are easy going.
