You’ve been invited to a spectacular wedding and you want to be best of guests when you arrive. As one of the wedding guests, there are some etiquettes also binding on you.
Note that there are some mistakes that wedding guests make when attending the wedding ceremony. Make sure you stay clear those habits.
1. Wedding Crashers
For a ceremony with multiple guests, there would always be wedding crashers; strange and uninvited guests who are after the foods and drinks.
2. Showing Up At The Event Late
Some wedding guests arrive much later than the ceremony starts, distracting the events. Try not to be such.
3. Wearing White Or Black
Traditionally, a wedding guests shouldn’t wear white; as it is the bride’s colour or black as it is associated with funeral. Try to avoid both colours.
4. Bringing Along Uninvited Guests
Adding an invited guests to the RVSP is not a great thing to do. The bride and groom have budgeted for the maximum amount of guests in the list to be attended to. Never try to bring along an uninvited guest. If you’re scared of being alone, then try making friend with another guest in the party.
5. Not Re-Sending RSVP Cards and Not Attending
This is one of the biggest mistakes guests make. You don’t realize the huge effects on the wedding planners.
6. Broadcasting The Wedding Ceremony On Social Media
The wedding guests should pay much attention to the event in front of them rather than their phone. You might feel excited in showing the wedding party to the public but let the bride and groom be the first to show the world their graceful event.
7. Objecting The Union
The priest asking if anyone objects to the marriage is a rhetorical question. Don’t be the one to ruin the wedding!
8. Giving Unplanned Toasts
If you’ve never be called to make a toast, do not come out to make one. It is rather rude. Telling an embarrassing story in the verge of seeking attention is not a good thing to do.
9. Not Listing Food Allergies
Make sure you list food allergies in the RSVP. It is rather embarrassing rejecting a dish placed in front of you because you’re allergic to fish.
10. Getting Drunk
Getting drunk is a way of ruining a great wedding. Never do so!
11. Calling The Couple Constantly
You should know that you’re just one out of the hundreds of guests attending the wedding ceremony. You don’t expect the bride and groom picking you up from the airport or planning your transportation.
12. Trying To Steal Attention
The bride is meant to be the star and centre of attention. Wearing an extra attractive outfit or stealing a dance is a way of seeking attention and being the star of the event. Do not do so!
13. Keeping Phones Out Loud
Keep your phones silent when in the wedding hall. The wedding vows and other memorable events should not be disrupted by an annoying sound from a phone.
